Our client is one of the UK’s largest temporary and permanent recruitment agencies. They had a requirement to produce 100,000 duplex printed invoices and timesheets per week. Prior to our involvement, their existing solution was based upon using conventional laser printer technology, was extremely unreliable due to the heat and pressure fusing systems involved.
PPL used its technical expertise to implement a solution which allowed them to print their colour letterheads on demand using a 120 page per minute full colour digital MFP. The solution not only reduced their cost per page by 60%, resulting in a real operational savings and also dramatically improved the delays caused from downtime.
Finding the Appropriate Hardware for Sky Decoder Cards
We worked with our client to design a new printing solution for the largest supplier of TV Satellite decoder cards to Sky television. The end user needed a solution which allowed high volume printing at low costs. It also had to be reliable and supportable due to the fact that they were printing millions of cards in short production runs. Working closely with the manufacturer, Precision Peripherals Ltd was able to identify the most appropriate printer hardware for the task and was able to provide pricing to the end user which was at least 20% lower than the equivalent solution offered by the world’s largest computer company.
